Our History Jansen/Adjusters International
In 1979, Jansen & Company was founded in Texas by Arthur Jansen, Sr., CPPA, SPPA, after he recognized a need for public adjusters in the southwest region of the United States.
Jansen/Adjusters International Works for You
Jansen/Adjusters International has a long history of helping businesses, commercial property owners, and homeowners in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and in Puerto Rico navigate the insurance claims process when faced with a disaster. Jansen & Company, together with fellow public adjusting firm, R.G. Beneke & Company are considered the founders of public adjusting in Texas.
Arthur Jansen, Sr. was passionate about helping people get treated fairly by their insurance company in times of disaster. He worked to have public adjusting recognized as a way to help the insured easily navigate the insurance claims process in Texas. Together with his friend and fellow public adjuster, Robert Beneke, Arthur Jansen was a founding member of the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (TAPIA) where he served as President and was also active in the leadership of the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA), serving on its Board of Directors.
In 2003, Jansen International, LLC was established as a company and continued to grow outside of Texas under the leadership of Arthur Jansen, Jr. In 2016, the company joined Adjusters International as Jansen/Adjusters International.
In recent years, Jansen/Adjusters International has handled claims for many of our region’s most notable disasters.
In 2017, our firm helped close to 500 Houston homeowners with their flood property insurance claims resulting from Hurricane Harvey.
Shortly thereafter, we handled over 300 commercial, condominium, and government claims in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. We are helping many others with their earthquake claims and providing litigation support for government agencies still trying to settle their Hurricane Maria property damage claims.
In the summer of 2020, a client’s multi-family apartment complex, suffered catastrophic damage from Hurricane Laura. Six weeks later, Hurricane Delta caused more damage to the complex. With our guidance, the complex was back in business less than a year after the disasters, and with 70% tenant occupancy. By the end of summer 2021, it surpassed its original operating expectations. See the case study for more information.
In October 2021, three schools in the Dallas Independent School District were devastated by a tornado. We immediately deployed a team of experts and, within one week, the schools were fenced in for security, major debris was removed, and contents were moved to other facilities enabling students to restart classes.
